The Ministry of Culture museum portal, checked on the same date: Tuesday–Friday 09:00–16:00; Saturday–Sunday 09:00–20:00; Monday closed. It lists public holidays as 09:00–16:00.

This counters an outdated impression of indefinite renovation closure, but does not confirm every room, device or service is available today.

The national portal identifies a specialised wayang museum managed by Unit Pengelola Museum Seni. The 2025 release describes puppets, masks and dolls in the displays. Follow curatorial labels and staff instructions; an item in an old photograph is not guaranteed to be on display now.
The culture department records a Wayang Orang Betawi performance on 29 March 2026. Although the archive title calls it “regular”, one dated event is not a guarantee of a show every Sunday, fixed times, included tickets or reservations today. Check an announcement for your visit date.
